Startup Visa:
With a startup visa, the Government of Canada seeks to attract entrepreneurs who have the potential to start innovative companies and create jobs. If you have a good idea and you can convince one of the organizations introduced by the Immigration Office to approve your plan or even invest in your plan, you and your family as well as up to 4 other families (5 in total) who will work with you on the project, will be awarded Canadian permanent resident visas.

The Startup Visa is an immigration program offered by the Federal Government of Canada, and the applicant can reside in any province other than Quebec, depending on the features of their plan.

The eligible person must meet the following 3 conditions:

Canada Startup Visa Requirements:
Condition 1: Prove that your business plan or idea is supported by one of the organizations nominated by the Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In this case, these organizations will give you a letter of acceptance and support for your idea (support letter).
The organizations nominated by IRCC fall into three categories:

  1. Business Accelerator Organizations or Incubator - These organizations will provide you with business and training assistance if they support your project so that you can implement your idea in the Canadian market.
  2. Angel Investors - These organizations will donate at least C $ 75,000 to your business if they support your project.
  3. Venture capital organizations - These organizations will donate at least C $ 200,000 to your business if they support your project.

Second condition: Proficiency in English or French, at least at CLB5 level in all four language skills, which must be proven by one of the valid language tests such as IELTS.

Condition 3: Your company must be registered and ready to start in partnership with one of the above support organizations in Canada. Each shareholder must hold at least ten percent of the company's stock and the total shares of the applicants and the supporting organization must be more than 50% of the company's total shares.

Applicants should pay attention to the following points when receiving their permanent residence:
After entering Canada, you will take over the active management of this business from within Canada. The bulk of business operations take place in Canada.

The way you peach your idea and the process is different for each of the above organizations. Each organization has its own requirements. For example, you may be asked to present your business plan to the organization in person or in an online meeting, or to provide them with a well-written business plan.
At Mina Yousefi Immigration Organization, we works with business specialists, with extensive experience, who can assist you in preparing a comprehensive and well-written start-up plan and present it to these organizations and we obtain a letter of support in addition to the legal and immigration services. We also assist you in registering your business in Canada.

Another service of Mina Yousefi Immigration Organization is that at the same time as sending our clients' application for permanent residence to the Canadian Immigration Office, we apply for a work visa, which is issued faster than a permanent residence visa.
